Trailhead Facilities Good Idea After All 

I was upset when I saw ground being broken for a public 
restroom building at the McKinley Street trailhead -- 
there's already a restroom building right on the trail.  Why 
not upgrade and winterize that one for much less money?  
    
Then a few days ago I passed by the construction site and 
realized:  yes, it takes only a few minutes to ride my bike 
from here to the park -- but the trail is primarily for 
pedestrians, and a mile is a long walk for elderly 
pedestrians and people pushing baby carriages.
