Last October we bought a Frigidaire all-refrigerator or freezer, which we use in refrigerator mode. It worked fine for about 4 months then the temperature in it went up to about 50 degrees F. We called where we purchased the unit: Smith Appliances, 1119 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, Indiana (ph: 574.267.5391) and they sent a service person to our house and replaced the temp. controller. It worked ok for about 3 weeks then it did the same thing. The temperature went up to 50 degrees. Mr. Smith came to our house and checked the refrigerant and fan, and again replaced the controller. Yesterday the same problem occurred yet again. I had placed a temperature logger in the refrigerator after the second event and I have temp data which clearly shows the temperature going up to 50 degrees. I can email an Excel spreadsheet to you if you supply me with an email address. I turned it off and let it set for 3 hours and turned it on and now it is operating as it should. But I don't trust it to keep working. Mr. Smith is going to come out this afternoon to look at it. This unit appears to be somewhat of a lemon. If it can't be fixed it should be replaced. We are very happy with this refrigerator when it is working as it should. We are also pleased with the way Smith Appliances is handling this situation.
