E:\LETTERS\2016DARR.TXT Could I have ninety days of meds instead of thirty? ------------------------------------------------------------ Update on sacroilliac Easter Sunday afternoon I was able to get out of a chair without the walker, and improved rapidly. (Yay, steroids!) I'm still sore in the lower back. Sometimes it manifests only as itching over the lower spine. It hasn't interfered with my activities, not even the bike ride to Mentone and back. I'm most likely to notice it at night. The numbish spot on my left thigh is now frankly numb, and bigger. Sometimes I'm aware of the borders of it. It hasn't become painful, but I've been very careful not to stand motionless too long. It never shows up when I'm walking, as it did when we first moved here (2001) and I was not accustomed to walking. ------------------------------------------------------------ The rotator cuff took a long time to heal, partly because I was aggravating it when I thought I was sparing it. It still isn't right, but that arm hasn't been right since it spent eight weeks in a cast after I broke my collarbone ------------------------------------------------------------ I want a stronger walker, just in case. I've been to the Pillbox and to CVS. It doesnt seem to matter which walker I get as long as it has eight-inch wheels and a cloth pouch, rather than a wire tray. I thought I should talk to you before buying one. ------------------------------------------------------------ I've been feeling not quite right in the belly. It's never advanced to nausea. I thought it was the hot weather, and put oatmeal in my "switchel" (ginger, lemon, and honey), but it also happens when I stay indoors, and has continued into the fall. But it's less often than it was, and seems to happen only when I'm riding soon after a meal. ------------------------------------------------------------ I still get wrinkles in my socks when I'm not wearing socks, and sometimes feel that something is stuck to the ball of my foot. Seems to happen more on the left than on the right. ------------------------------------------------------------ Probably nothing: I had almost a week of draggies in August: tired all the time, loss of appetite, slightly-elevated temperature. No cold symptoms. -----------------------------------------------------------
